Our nursery story
All aboard for a brighter beginning
A lifelong ambition, a love of Newark and a very special little nursery.
A dream that became Little Loco’s
Heather Jones founded Little Loco’s Day Nursery in 2024, fulfilling her lifelong ambition of owning a nursery school. Her vision was to bring together high-quality, homely childcare, inspiring learning and a strong sense of community.
A ticket to a world of imagination
Our name celebrates our closeness to Newark Northgate train station. The railway connection runs through our nursery, including Larry the Ticket Instructor. Children can collect a “ticket” from Larry’s booth as they arrive — a playful start to a day full of possibilities.
Our story grows with your family
We are honoured by the trust families place in us. Warmth, creativity and community guide our work as we help children become happy, confident learners with a love of nature and a sense of responsibility.
